Filteren van Microplastics
-
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Ali and I am in VWO6, a student at the Haarlemmermeer lyceum TTO currently working on my Profielwerkstuk. I am working with a group of 3, where we aim to look into microplastics in tapwater and investigate various filtration methods in order to find the more effective one.
As part of this project, we are very eager to conduct a small experiment to explore this topic in a more practical and scientific setting. Since TU Delft allows for PWS-support , I believe your facilities and expertise would be the perfect environment to carry this out. This way there will be more accuracy and opportunity to conduct our experiment to its full capacity as we want to work with various filtration equipments.
I would be very grateful if we could conduct our experiment at your university under your guidance (or with someone from your team). We are, of course, flexible and willing to adapt to the resources and time you may have available.
I believe this collaboration would not only help us strengthen our project but also allow us to gain valuable insight into real academic research. I would love to hear if this could be possible, and I’d be more than happy to provide additional details about my experiment plan. Below is a file linked to our research proposal.
Thank you very much for considering our request. I look forward to your reply!
Kind regards,
Ali, Hailey and Deekshita -
Dear Ali, Hailey and Deekshita,
My apoligies for the late response. Thank you for your message and for sharing your interesting PWS topic. It’s great to see your enthusiasm for scientific research and environmental issues.
Unfortunately, we currently do not have the lab space or equipment available to support external experiments of this kind. I would be able to help you set up an experiment at home. If you send me your main question of your own research paper I would be able to brainstorm with you.
Let me know if you would be interested in this.
Kind regards,
Splinther van Rappard
